01 / The place
Fuvahmulah is not the familiar lagoon postcard. It is a one-island atoll in the deep south of the Maldives, close to the Equator, edged by open ocean and shaped by a geography found nowhere else in the country.
With no surrounding lagoon, the island meets the ocean directly. Its reef falls into deep, nutrient-rich water, creating conditions for extraordinary pelagic life: year-round tiger shark encounters, threshers, oceanic mantas, whale sharks and large schools of fish.
Inland, two freshwater lakes, Dhadimagi Kilhi and Bandaara Kilhi, sit among wetlands, ferns, reeds and taro fields. Coconut palms, mango trees and dense tropical planting give the island a lush, inhabited character. UNESCO designated Fuvahmulah a Biosphere Reserve in 2020.
Tourism is comparatively young here. Fishing, agriculture, neighbourhood life and local customs remain visible parts of the everyday. A stay can feel less like passing through a resort and more like learning the tempo of a real island community.

03 / The model
Investors Estate in Fuvahmulah balances private enjoyment with professionally managed hospitality and the wider Amber Coral experience. The investor funds the three-villa estate; one villa with two suites becomes their Coral Estate for ten years, while the other two villas run as the boutique hotel.
The arrangement runs for ten years under definitive project agreements. It is a management arrangement, not a land or freehold transfer.
The investor may enjoy the villa for up to six months of each operating year.
During the other six-month window, the boutique hotel manages the villa’s availability.
Rental revenue is meant to cover operating costs, maintenance and future renovation. Nothing is guaranteed.
The investor is invited to contribute to the development and evolution of the wider Amber Coral project.
The villa supports private island living alongside reliable, comfortable remote work.
